On September 29, 2026, HH Healing Hearts Inc. marked Hunger Action Day and the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste by delivering food and essential provisions to three families in Ghana’s Upper West Region.
Our volunteers visited a grandmother caring for her grandson Daare, a widow who is deaf and raising two children, and a single mother working to support her children.
For Daare and his grandmother, the visit continued a relationship of care that began after his mother died during childbirth. His grandmother reported that he was doing well and expressed gratitude for the continued support.
Alongside the donations, our team shared practical advice on storing food safely, preserving supplies, and preparing appropriate portions to reduce waste. The visits also helped us understand each family’s continuing needs and identify areas for follow-up.
Each of the three families received the same quantity of donated food and essential supplies. Each visit gave our team time to listen and offer support with dignity.
